KEF Unveils LS Luxe: A €4,000 High-End Wireless Speaker Sculpted by Ross Lovegrove
KEF has expanded its active wireless lineup with the LS Luxe, positioning the new standmount speaker directly between the popular LS50 Wireless II and the flagship LS60 floorstanders. Billed as the brand’s most ambitious bookshelf system to date, the LS Luxe combines organic industrial design with flagship acoustic engineering.
Key Highlights at a Glance
- Sculpted Design: Created in collaboration with legendary industrial designer Ross Lovegrove (Muon, Muo, Mu), featuring low-diffraction, rounded composite enclosures.
- Next-Gen Acoustic Tech: Powered by a 12th-Gen 6.5-inch Uni-Q driver array paired with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) to absorb 99% of unwanted rear-tweeter distortion.
- Real-Time Cone Correction: Features Velocity Control Technology (VECO) borrowed from KEF’s XIO soundbar to eliminate driver distortion and extend bass depth.
- Hybrid Bi-Amplification: 380W total power per speaker—a dedicated 100W Class AB amplifier for the tweeter and a 280W Class D current-drive amplifier for the mid/bass woofer.
- High-Res Wireless & Streaming: Supports up to 24-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD128, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and upcoming Roon Ready support.

High-End Power Meets Smart Room DSP
Behind the fluid, sculpture-like cabinet lies KEF’s Music Integrity Engine (MIE) DSP, allowing listeners to calibrate sound profiles based on room boundaries and placement.
When paired wirelessly, the speakers transmit audio at 24-bit/96kHz, while an optional hardwired inter-speaker tether pushes transmission up to 24-bit/192kHz.
Connectivity & Pricing
The physical input selection is well-stocked for modern TV and digital setups:
- Inputs: HDMI eARC, TOSLINK Optical, Digital Coaxial, 3.5mm Analog AUX, RJ45 Ethernet.
- Outputs: Dual RCA subwoofer outputs (one per speaker) and USB-C device charging.
The KEF LS Luxe launches in three finishes—Dusk Titanium, Eclipse Black, and Mineral White—weighing in at a substantial 20 kg per pair. Retail pricing is set at €4,000 for the speaker pair, with optional dedicated floor stands priced at €900.
