At Ampreviews, we believe great sound is more than just equipment it’s about the people who dedicate their lives to music, creativity, and passion.
This page is dedicated to Alan March (1963–2020) a musician, colleague, and friend who touched countless lives through his work, spirit, and love for sound.
Alan’s Story
Alan March was much more than a name in the pro audio world he was a passionate musician, a trusted colleague, and a warm-hearted friend.
With over two decades of experience in the audio industry, Alan worked with Sennheiser UK, where he played a pivotal role in the Professional and Installation Sound divisions. His deep knowledge, energy, and kindness made him a respected figure among professionals and artists alike.
Before joining Sennheiser, Alan had built a solid career at HW International and Shure Distribution UK, always staying true to his mission — to help others experience the magic of sound.
Alan was also part of BEIRG’s steering team, passionately advocating for the preservation of radio spectrum for creative industries — a mission he carried forward as Sennheiser’s Senior Manager for Spectrum Affairs.
Outside of his career, Alan’s heart belonged to music. He was the lead guitarist for GrooveManoova, performing around Kingston-Upon-Thames with the same joy and energy he brought to every aspect of his life. His vinyl collection, his guitars, and his enthusiasm for live performance reflected a soul that truly lived through sound.
A Tribute to a True Gentleman
Those who knew Alan describe him as one of the kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet, generous, passionate, and full of life.
His laughter, his stories, and his commitment to music left an impression that continues to inspire everyone who knew him.
Sennheiser, his colleagues, and countless friends remember him not just for his professional achievements but for the light he brought into every room he entered.
